Monday, July 1st, 2030: Ben Corrigan earned June's Rookie of the Month honors in the National League for last month's performance. The boyish San Francisco third baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.
Corrigan hit .376 with 2 home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award.
This year Corrigan has hit at a .285 pace and produced 36 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 37 runs. |

Monday, July 1st, 2030: Alfredo Despaigne is still a bit shy, but then, who could blame the newest American League Rookie of the Month honoree? He hasn't been around the league long enough to fully know the ropes yet, despite the fact that he's putting up veteran-like numbers.
In June the Minnesota hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .415 average with 22 hits, 4 home runs and 16 RBIs.
Despaigne is currently batting .310 with 7 home runs, 24 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 129 at-bats. |
 | NL Selects Paxton June's Top Starter
Monday, July 1st, 2030: In June when the Florida manager wrote the name "Paxton" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, James Paxton took the hill, took charge and usually got the win.
He dominated with a 4-1 mark and 1.33 ERA in 5 starts. The gifted Marlins star pitched 40.2 innings, fanned 40 and held opposing teams to a .154 average.
For his outstanding mound performance Paxton was named the NL Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers.
Currently Paxton has a record of 8-3 with 98 strikeouts and 24 walks in 109.1 innings and a 2.72 ERA. |
