Monday, May 23rd, 2016: The Vancouver Wolves were dealt a severe blow when Michael Dawson was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers. After the game, the team trainer reported Dawson might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 32-year-old reliever out for the rest of the season with a stretched elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Dawson at least 9-10 months to heal.
Dawson has pitched 18.2 innings and molded a 0.96 ERA with 6 saves. He has surrendered 10 hits while registering 17 strikeouts on his way to a 1-0 record for the Wolves this year. | |
